I had never thought about the concept of friction in writing. It makes sense that since you can't correct your mistakes with a typewriter as easily as you would with a keyboard, the consequence is you pay more attention to the words you choose. Really interesting idea!

Yeah, itβs an interesting concept that applies everywhere in almost anything β and I think weβre becoming obsessed with removing friction without understanding what the rewards may actually be. For me, using the type writer is high friction but the slowing down, the disconnecting from the digital distractions and the careful selection of words are the rewards that make that friction worth it π
